in Managed High Security Datacenter Services
EnterZone, Inc is proud to announce the opening of its new High Security Datacenter (HSDC) in Columbus, OH. Officially opened on April 15, 2001, the EnterZone HSDC incorporates state of the art, multi-tiered proximity key and biometric access control systems to protect your valuable information systems assets.
Most IT Professionals are familiar with typical datacenter security. Card Access systems, CCTV and onsite operations personnel are fairly standard features for a modern datacenter. With the new HSDC, EnterZone has raised the bar. Security systems based on tokens (key-cards, key-fobs) allow access to anyone who has come into possession of the token. EnterZone recognizes this weakness and as such, has implemented Biometric Hand-Scanners at the HSDC for positive identification and authorization of personnel entering the facility.
Physical access to your valuable assets is protected by four independent systems.
Proximity-Key access to our building
After normal business hours, physical access to the entire interior of the building is protected by proximity key access.
Proximity-Key access to the EnterZone HSDC Lobby
Physical access to the EnterZone HSDC Lobby is locked 24 hours a day, requiring a valid proximity key for entry. This access system is independent of the proximity key system for entrance to the building interior.
Biometric Hand-Scanner access to EnterZone HSDC "ManTrap."
Upon gaining access to the EnterZone HSDC lobby, persons requiring access into the actual datacenter must authenticate themselves with our biometric hand scanner. Unlike card keys, proximity keys or PINs, your biometric credentials cannot be loaned out, lost or stolen. They provide positive identification and cannot be duplicated or forged.
Interlocking "ManTrap" door entrance to the EnterZone HSDC.
To prevent "tailgating" or unauthorized persons following authorized persons into the datacenter, persons who have been authenticated by the first three levels of security enter our "ManTrap" to gain access to the interior of the datacenter. The "ManTrap" doors are interlocking. The exterior door must be closed securely before the interior door will open allowing physical access to the datacenter.
High-Security doesn't have to equal High-Hassle.
EnterZone designed our access control systems to provide the highest security and the least hassle possible. A common occurance with token-based access control systems is lost tokens. Not only does this weaken security until such time as the lost credential is deactivated in the system, it adds to the hassle-factor.
The proximity-keys used by our first two access control systems are small, nearly indestructible "keys" that will fit on any standard keychain along with your house and car keys. The only other credential required to gain access to the facility is your hand! We believe that we have created a much more secure environment with zero additional hassle for our clients.
